We could make a joke that it takes someone like Super Street magazine to make a good Toyota Corolla, but we won’t because the 2019 Corolla hatch is kinda good-looking already. However, Super Street did do a pretty good job adding some drama to the little runabout at SEMA.

“The Corolla Hatchback is at the forefront of Toyota’s current interaction with automotive enthusiasts,” said Ed Laukes, group vice president – Toyota Division Marketing. “The all-new Hatchback is well-suited to customization and personalization, be it for appearance or performance.”

Editor-in-chief Samuel Du said he wanted to make something you’d see on the floor of the Tokyo Auto Salon. We’d say he succeeded.

The Corolla hatch gets track-oriented upgrades, which we love, including an RS-R coilover suspension, Falken FK510 high-performance tires, Volk wheels, an HPS cold air intake, an A’PEXi quad-outlet exhaust and Wilwood front brakes. Corbeau bucket seats adorn the interior.

It also gets a custom aero kit.
