A new Honda Civic variant called Sport line has been introduced in the UK. It has a higher standard spec than the SR it’s based upon, with prices starting from £22,445.

All Sport Line come with Honda’s 129hp 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, and either a standard six-speed manual or optional CVT automatic.

The Sport Line is launched with a 0 percent APR PCP special offer; it costs £199 a month over three years.

Additional equipment for the Civic Sport Line includes high-gloss black front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser, door mirror caps and window surrounds.

Black leather is standard inside, with Sport Line-exclusive red stitching.

This builds upon the standard equipment of the regular SR, which includes dual zone climate control, privacy glass, Honda Connect infotainment with Garmin sat nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control and a reversing camera.

Three colours are offered: White Orchid Pearl, Rallye Red and Brilliant Sporty Blue. The PCP special offer is based upon customers choosing the optional white or blue metallics (red is standard).

Ordering is open now and deliveries will begin in mid-December; Honda head of car Phil Webb said it will “make a great ending to 2018 for Honda… the Sport Line will be popular with those looking for something a little more distinctive and individual”.
