There’s a little over one week until Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI held at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Porsche gathers more than 350 different cars for the event.

On Monday, Porsche has revealed plans for its “Champions Garage,” located behind pit lane at the Monterey track. This will feature 12 of Porsche’s most iconic and successful race cars.

Porsche will bring a blend of prototype and GT machinery to the “Champions Garage.” Porsche’s 919 Hybrid Evo, which has embarked on a record-setting “Tribute Tour” throughout the year, will make a voyage to the track. Earl Bamber will drive the car. Porsche’s group photo after Timo Bernhard’s Nurburgring run is linked to the right.

Bamber and Laurens Vanthoor also recently finished second at Monterey in the most recent IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race a little over a week ago. At least one of the manufacturer’s current 911 RSRs will be on site for exhibition laps.

Patrick Pilet, meanwhile, will reunite with the previous generation 911 RSR during the weekend as well. That’s the same car Pilet took the 2015 GTLM class championship. Perhaps more memorably, it’s also the car he co-drove to the overall win in the rain at Petit Le Mans with Nick Tandy.

Porsche’s 1998 911 GT1-98 is also due to make an appearance as well. That car won the 24 Hours of Le Mans that year. The victory kicked off Michelin’s run of 21 consecutive overall wins at the French endurance classic.

The preparations have been in high gear for the event since it was announced last fall. Those preparations will only intensify over the next 10 days.
