The Bureko 6×6 pickup is the Czech answer to Hennessey
We never figured the Earth big enough for a truck like Hennessey’s Chevrolet Silverado-based Goliath 6×6 pickup, let alone a challenger to it, but apparently, it is.
Meet the Czech Republic’s Bureko 6×6.
What started life as either a Silverado 1500 or 2500 HD now rides high above the road with two extra wheels.
The thing is big, 20 feet long, about a foot longer than Mercedes-Benz’s silly 6×6 vehicle.
Powering this insane monster is a 6.2-litre V-8 that will make no less than 600 horsepower, though there will also be a 7.0-litre stroked version that will make 1,000 horsepower.
To get those high numbers out of the old pushrod mill, the company’s had to add a lot of new parts, including a forged crankshaft, new cam, and of course a supercharger. The 1,000-horsepower variants also receive beefy upgrades to the stock drivetrain, such as a forged transmission converter, drive shaft and axle shafts.
The interior remains pretty much unchanged, because if you’re going to buy something like this, there really isn’t any reason to have any luxury inside. Bureko has thrown out the Chevrolet bowtie, though, which seems metaphoric, considering this vehicle seems more suited for camo pants.
The Bureko 6×6 was just unveiled online, and order books are now open; no prices have been listed, but we can assume this silly toy won’t be cheap.
Deliveries are expected to take place in the fall.
