The December update for the premier PlayStation racing game -- "Gran Turismo Sport" -- is finally here. It adds a new circuit, called Tokyo Expressway South Route, and seven additional cars. The circuit is one of many variations on the Tokyo Expressway track and features an inner and outer loop -- again, similar to the rest of the versions of the Tokyo Expressway.

As for the cars, the December update is a solid mix of classics, contemporary customs and high-end hypercars. The ’63 Corvette coupe and ’78 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am add enough classic muscle to flesh out the back catalog of classic sports cars, while the Tesla Model S Signature Performance offers a quality counterbalance of modernity. "Fast and Furious" star Sung Kang’s custom 1973 Datsun 240Z also joins the list of playable race cars.

The update is free to anyone who already owns "Gran Turismo Sport" and has an internet connection.
