The ’80s and ’90s have made a big style comeback recently, and if you need more proof, you’ve got it in this private car collection coming up for sale, which is simply the automotive embodiment of those eras.

If you can think of an ’80s or ’90s automotive icon, it’s probably here. A full list of cars hasn’t been released yet, but there are some 140 of them waiting to go under the hammer at four different RM Sotheby’s events through 2019.

The private collector obviously had a penchant for German cars, with most of the collection made up of rare Mercedes-Benzes, many hopped up by AMG before they merged. BMWs are also very prevalent, with more than a few rare Alpina models available, and a standout 850CSI.

Peppered in amongst the Germans are also a few true exotics like a Ferrari Superamerica, Aston Martin Vanquish S and Acura NSX, all with manual transmissions. The collection seems to favour sedans, but almost every car here is a performance version of a sedan, or is the best the brand had to offer—no Camrys here!

It appears every car in the collection is in incredible condition, and not only well taken care of, but stock, too. When was the last time you saw a MK4 Supra without any modifications whatsoever? Or—any Japanese car left stock?

The first auction will take place in Paris, the second at Amelia Island, the third at Fort Lauderdale, and the final one taking place in Germany.
