Watch two boys go on $100,000-plus rampage at a Toyota dealership
Boys will be boys, but some boys will also be criminals if you let them. Two minors from Perth, Australia went on a smashing spree at the local Maddington Toyota dealership, ruining 37 vehicles in the process.
The two boys are facing charges of criminal damage after their stunt was caught on camera—checking for surveillance cameras apparently wasn’t something that a 10- and 13-year-old considered.
The video shows the duo drop-kicking bumpers, standing on hoods and kicking in windscreens, throwing concrete blocks through windows and generally wreaking havoc on the dealership lot.
According to the news report, the young vandals did the bulk of the damage early on Sunday morning, taking their misplaced adolescent rage out on 23 cars.
But they weren’t done, returning later on to grab some clothes they’d left behind and spazzing out on another 14 vehicles.
The dealer puts the cost of damages at around $100,000, which will be covered by insurance but take about a month to work through.
The boys were arrested, charged with criminal damage and held in custody on Monday night. That’s the punishment from the law—now it’s the parents’ turn.
And we’re not sure what the going rate for grounding is these days, but something tells us these boys won’t have nearly as many free Sunday mornings in the near future.
